Dr. Bruce DeBruhl
CMU ECE PhD Graduate
Assistant Professor of CS, CalPoly SLO
Dr. Bruce DeBruhl completed his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2015; his dissertation title is Attack and Defense Strategies in Cyber-Physical Systems with Varying Levels of System and Opponent Knowledge. He is now an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Cal Poly SLO. His work is generally in the area of wireless security at a system level. Particular problems of interest involve "intelligent" secure systems which apply cross-layer observation-based knowledge of networks to security problems. Bruce received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University, Flint, MI. His undergraduate thesis was titled Design of a Low Profile Vertically Polarized RF Antenna for Automotive Applications pursued jointly at Kettering University and Ford Motor Company.
